The Market@theSheds is happening again at the end of the month in the Pretoria CBD. Saturday, 28 February will see the city come alive again with flocks of colourful people of all shapes and sizes, re-discovering the beauty of the Capital’s inner city.
The market is hosted in a beautiful, old warehouse and creates a vibrant and cosmopolitan space where people enjoy and explore local artisan food, art, design and music.
The market appeals to a diverse group of people from all walks of life: fashionistas, art lovers, foodies, musicians, shopaholics, tourists, explorers, trendsetters and socialites of all ages. If you like your Saturdays filled with a city buzz, atmospheric spaces, gourmet coffee, deli-style food, cool music and interesting people, this is the place for you. Come for coffee or breakfast, hook up with friends or just come and browse for a well-deserved treat at the end of the month. Kids are welcome.
Described as an african urban experience, it merges the best of city markets with the flavours of South Africa’s Capital. Local entrepreneurs, designers, artists and musicians form the bulk of the market, promoting the talents of the people of Tshwane. With so many popular musicians in South Africa hailing from our beautiful city, the market aims to provide a platform of support for young emerging artists to gain exposure and showcase their amazing talent. For some, the vibe at the market is merely a welcome surprise, but for many more, it is also a proud display of the people’s city’s (often downplayed) creative offering.
Market@theSheds is scheduled to take place on the last Saturday of each month, so be sure to diarise …
The Market is changing locations from the end of the month of April and will be doing Pop-up markets in between. Find the next market on our Facebook, twitter or instagram page, or visit this page for updates. The Market@theSheds is part of the Capital Collective, an initiative driving revival projects in the Pretoria CBD.
